‘High on the Summit Ridge’ is a solo exhibition developed by Gabecare at Travelling Gallery, as part of Edinburgh Art Festival 2024.

This is the third exhibition by Gabecare, a collaborative project between artists Rachel Adams and Tessa Lynch. The project investigates the domestic mess of 21st century living. For Travelling Gallery Gabecare developed a new body of works based on 1970s issues of ‘The Scots Magazine’ – a Scottish interest publication aimed at Scots at home and abroad – and the Edinburgh Council’s Collection for Domestic Life. The exhibition included a series of small- and large-scale collages, etched-mirror works and a display of laundry and cleaning products from the council’s social history collection.
